This is a courtesy translation. The authoritative text is the Portuguese version — read it here — which is the one that governs. Both describe the same product.
The honest summary, in four lines
- Your video file is never sent anywhere. It is read, cut, reframed, colour-graded and exported inside your own browser.
- Only the audio leaves, and only if you use captions or smart selection — to be transcribed. We do not keep that audio.
- If you save a project, we keep your editing decisions and the text of what was said (the transcript), so the project reopens as you left it.
- We do not sell or share your data for advertising, and we do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models.
1. Who we are
NinjaClip is a video editor that runs in the browser, operated by Maickell Silvestre. For anything related to privacy, including requests to access or delete data, write to maickellh@gmail.com.
2. What happens to your video
This is the part that matters most, so it comes first and without hedging.
When you choose a video, it is opened straight from your computer by the browser. Silence cutting, reframing, the captions drawn onto the image, colour treatment, background separation and the final export all happen on your machine. The video file is not transmitted to us or to anyone else — not whole, not in pieces, not as a thumbnail.
This is not an administrative promise: it is how the product is built. If your internet drops after the video is open, silence cutting and export keep working.
3. What is sent, when, and to whom
Three features need a server. They only run when you switch them on, and each one sends the minimum it needs:
- Captions and smart selection. Only the video's audio track, converted to 16 kHz mono WAV. No images. It goes to our server function, which passes the audio to ElevenLabs for transcription and then sends only the transcribed text to OpenAI, which points out which takes look discardable.
- Soundtrack. A text description of the music you want: style, mood, the context you typed, tempo and length. None of your audio. It goes to our server function, which passes it to ElevenLabs Music. The music comes back to your browser and stays there.
- Account and projects. Your email, your name and — if you save a project — the editing plan described in section 4. Stored at Supabase, where our authentication and database live.
- Payment (paid plans only). Your email, to link the payment to your account, and the card details, which you type on Stripe's own page. Those details never pass through our servers and we never see them. Stripe tells us only which plan was taken, when it renews, and whether it was cancelled or refunded.
4. What we keep when you save a project
Saving a project is optional and requires an account. What gets stored is the editing plan — the decisions, not the media:
- The cuts, the sensitivity you chose, and which takes you kept or dropped.
- The text of what was said: the transcript and the captions, including any corrections you made.
- The text you typed: names and job titles in the lower thirds, highlighted sentences, the closing card.
- Your appearance choices: colours, fonts, styles, formats, volumes.
- Technical measurements computed from the video: detected face positions and colour measurements — numbers, not images.
- The file name, its size in bytes and its duration, so we can recognise the video when you reopen the project.
We do not keep the video, the audio, the treated voice or the generated music file. When you reopen a project the editor asks for the video again — that is why it needs to know the file name.
5. Account and signing in with Google
You can create an account with email and password, or sign in with your
Google account. When you sign in with Google we receive only your email
address and your name (the email and profile
scopes). We do not ask for and do not have access to your Gmail, your
contacts, your Drive or any other Google service. We never see your Google
password.
NinjaClip's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We also record how many exports you made in the month, to apply the free plan's limit. It is a count — we do not keep what was exported.
6. What stays in your browser
We keep your session token in your browser's local storage, so you do not have to sign in on every visit, and — when you arrive from the home page — temporarily the file you chose, which is discarded as soon as the editor receives it. We use no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no behaviour analytics tools.
What does exist is a page-view count, and it is a different thing.
When a page opens, your browser makes a request to our own database adding 1
to a counter identified by technical, aggregated things: the day, the page
address, the domain that sent you here, the time zone your browser already
announces (for example America/Sao_Paulo), the browser family
(Safari, Chrome, Firefox and so on), the operating system, and whether it is a
phone, tablet or desktop. We do not send the raw user agent.
The time zone answers "which part of the world uses this" without our having to ask anyone where they are. It is a region, not a location: the whole of Brazil fits in four time zones, and millions of people share each one. We prefer that coarse answer to asking a third party to turn your network address into a city — that would be more precise, and would be exactly what this policy promises not to do.
7. Hosting and delivery
The site is served by Cloudflare, which by the nature of the internet handles the requests your browser makes and their network addresses. Traffic is encrypted end to end.
8. Waiting list
If you leave your email to hear about something that is not out yet, that address is used for that announcement and nothing else. How to leave: reply to the email, or write to maickellh@gmail.com — you are removed immediately and we do not ask why. Nobody can download that list through the site: the key the browser uses can subscribe and cannot read.
9. How long we keep things
- Saved projects: until you delete them. Deletion is in the project list itself and takes effect immediately.
- Account: for as long as it exists. When you ask for the account to be deleted, the projects linked to it go with it.
- Audio sent for transcription: not kept.
- Export count: kept while the account exists, to enforce the monthly limit.
- Page-view count: 12 months. There is nobody inside it to be identified later.
- Waiting-list email: until the announcement goes out, or until you ask to leave.
10. Your rights
Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, portability and deletion of your data, and withdraw consent. In practice you can do much of this yourself: projects live in your list and can be deleted at any time. For the rest — including deleting the whole account — write to maickellh@gmail.com and we answer within 15 days.
11. Children
NinjaClip is not intended for anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect children's data. If you know of an account in those circumstances, tell us at the address above and we will delete it.
12. Security
All traffic uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The keys for the transcription and music services stay on the server and never reach the browser. Access to projects is restricted by database rules: each account sees only its own rows. Even so, no system is immune to failure — if there is an incident affecting your data, we will notify you and the competent authority.
13. Changes to this policy
If the way things work changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated. Material changes — such as starting to send something that is not sent today — will be announced by email to account holders.
